Curriculum

Our curriculum explores four science blocks: forces and motion, â€‹Earth-Moon-Sun, Genetics and Reproduction and Human Impact.

The class aims to develop students' interests for science, as well as the practicing of science skills. The class projects are designed to include real experiences that require students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, while students gain understanding of the topics being studied. This approach may allowmore in depth understanding of some fundamental concepts.

Forces and Motion

Our physics unit focuses on investigations about speed and the design and launch of water bottle rockets.

Earth, Moon and Sun

8th graders will develop and implement lessons about astronomy to be taught to sixth graders.

Genetics and Reproduction

Students explore the fundamental blocks that make living organisms and the generation of offspring through sexual reproduction.
